  • Japan N-Reactor Data Collection System Breaks Down

Tokyo, Dec. 31 (Jiji Press)--A government computer system to figure out real-time conditions of nuclear power reactors across Japan to prepare for a possible accident broke down on Friday, the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said Saturday.

As a result, the Emergency Response Support System failed to indicate reactor data on its screens for some 26 hours from around 12:30 p.m. Friday (3:30 a.m. GMT), the industry ministry-affiliated organization said.
