  • Japan pushes for reactor exports even as it debates nuclear policy at home

But the nuclear technology companies think the setback will be modest, at most. Hitachi, even before the March 11 disaster, had outlined a plan to construct 38 overseas plants by 2030. Because of the nuclear crisis, Hitachi nuclear power systems Chief Executive Officer Masaharu Hanyu said, “we are now thinking that target might be a little bit delayed.” But Hitachi has not formally lowered its target.

The Japanese companies have found that much of the world still wants nuclear power.

How mind-sick are these death dealers? Destroying their own country is just not enough. Now they will try to sell their death traps to countries that other countries wouldn't sell their nuke tech to.  For corporations, even Japan corporations, their own country is not a country. Its a market with money to be made. Now who of them you think cares if the moneys come from building reactors or "cleaning up" when they blow up?
